![]() There’s Coldheart for freezing your enemies, Flaming Destroyer for those who like to incinerate mobs, and Blood Drinker for the effects of bleeding and life stealing. Previously, relics were interchangeable and could also be freely traded between characters. Will there be a torchlight 3 upgrade#Īlthough you had to upgrade them to unlock skills, you still had the freedom to experiment with different versions. Say goodbye to that as the relic you select during character creation remains permanent throughout Flashlight IIIcampaign of. It acts as a kind of subclass, and there is no way to change for another. ![]() If you wanted to try out other Relics, be prepared to revive a new character from scratch. If the Devs find it fits their Vision and they change that, fine by me, than i will simply stop playing the game because it then caters to a target audience where i'm clearly not in, in a concept / thing which clearly affects me (again it's not one of the nitpicky options which singleplayer games offer, or addtional modes like permadeath / roguelike, but something which everyone affects who play the game, no matter what they prefer). In addition to the above, some passives only work depending on the type of weapon you have equipped. which try to downplay the issue behind it. And don't get me wrong on this, it's not even an Argument against the Suggestion per se, it's simply the attitude people have with this kind of suggestions which bothers me. I couldn't care less if someone would develope a tool for singleplayer where you can edit savegames to respeccing, but due i playing online with friends it does effect me as well, if they officially would introduce this as an feature. Not to mention that some folks prefer to have equal footing, especially in online-games / online servers. ![]() And gimping down yourself on Mechanics isn't really a solution. Point is, stuff like this dictates how the game will be played and encouraged, and where the focus lies. If we would follow the logic of "don't use it" than we could argue, why they nod add a instant win button. Sure, there are a lot of areas where you can say / claim options are good, and it's a good thing to approach a wider audience, but also there are things which would make the game worse and options like this hurts. That's one of this non-sense strawman Arguments which are nowdays highly overused.Than again i've atleast to add, that atleast for T元 it might be a more fitting thing, due Torchlight Series is very casual to begin with, especially T元, so atleast i'll give you that. So making the Game less "time spending" would f*** over the crowd which want to focus on one game and want to actually invest into the game, and not being bored after a week or so because they achieved everything and builds not really matter because you easily can swap it on the fly. It's hard to please both, and the few games which might be able to pull that off, aren't as good each of them as Games which are dedicated to one particular direction. That's the Big problem with the argument coming from Casuals. What's that kind of Argument? So it means only because you don't have time or don't want to spent much time, it's deserved to f*** all over who might have the time or are interested into spening much time into it.I won't argue if the game might need possible a bit of tweaking that you get this respectacles more often, but a completly change, to like (some mentioned here with Diablo 3) wouldn't be a good solution for me personal either. But that's why each ARPG in regards of Respec needs to be handled individually and some games, especially games like T元 which aren't that complex to begin, to have some sort of limitations, otherwise it might break the game. That's why this Games are more encouraging to do another character with a different build, instead of doing one character over and over again, because swap out pieces, skill from the scratch and stuff, involves more work than simply create a new character and make a new build. There are Games where "respeccing" is done "much easier" than T元 for sure and still kept the "meaingfull choice", "Builds" and especially "replaybility" intact, like let's say Grim Dawn, but than these Games are way bigger and more complex like Torchlight 3. Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying we should go back to the time, where we can't respecc at all, but i also don't want to have a Diablo 3 situation again where builds and choices are kinda meaningless as well. Also it would kill the replaybility of creating new toons. For me Skilltrees means meaningfull choices, and if you want to change something about it, than you should kinda work for it.
